SERVICESPublic Defender Application Process
The Public Defender shall represent any person arrested for and/or charged with a criminal violation of state law determined to be indigent pursuant to Florida Statute.
All applications for our services shall be submitted to the Broward County Clerk of Courts. There is a $50 application fee assessed for each application filed for consideration of appointment of the Law Office of the Public Defender to represent you in a criminal matter.
A person found to be indigent will not be refused an attorney for failure to pay the fee.
